It's that time of the year, when I start dreaming about paved roadways and the buds of trees making their entrance after a long cold winter. With the temperature sitting at a frigid sixteen below, my daydreaming is only cut short, as I let my dogs out for a quick "potty break". Today I spend my time warm inside my home, sipping on Coconut flavored coffee, and being thankful for my fuzzy clog slippers my hubby just bought for me. I'm gearing up for my first "Running With Reason" meeting tonight with the Grand Itasca Foundation. I can't tell you how excited I am that I have their support!
This year, I am going to "Run with Reason" and raise money for cancer patients and families within our community, that are in need of financial support. I am so excited to build a team of people to assist me in this endeavor. Crossing a finish line after sweating out miles upon miles, in itself is amazing. Crossing the finish line after sweating out miles upon miles for a cause... is nothing short of a blessing!
My hope is to motivate those that are searching for a way to change their lifestyle, to get in shape, to become a better you, to push yourself, and to build new relationships. Through running I truly believe lives can be changed. Not only the life of the runner, but when we "Run with Reason" we help others along the way as well! That's what it's all about right?
I am so excited for this adventure! All of the details will be coming soon. If you're interested in joining our team, please inbox me your personal information, name, address, email, and phone #. Leave a comment, tell me what you think! Together we can all make a difference!
FYI- Official training for the Half Marathon starts on the 18th of February!
